Somapura Mahavihara
This is a beautiful site which is a must to visit, if you like places of archeological importance. It is believed to be built in the 4th century and currently it is located in the Paharpur area of Bangladesh. It is a quadrangular structure with 177 cells with a Buddhist stupa in the middle. These rooms were actually used by monks to stay and meditate.
Archeologists have discovered many statues and interesting things used by these ancient monks, providing a glimpse of history of this area.
