Day 1 Airport Arrival
Welcome to Jordan, the heart of the Middle East. Today when you arrive at Queen Alia International Airport, our Jordan local representative will welcome you and assist with visas, luggage, and customs. You will then be driven to your hotel in Amman.
Day 2 Amman City Tour – Jerash
After breakfast and settling into in, your group will be met by your local guide to start your program. Today is a tour of Amman and Jerash. Tour the beautiful, 2000 year old Roman Theater and the Folklore Museum, then the Citadel located at the one of the highest points in the city and the Archaeology Museum located at the Citadel. Amman is a blend of old and new from modern malls and shopping districts to ancient ruins all on the same block.
After the tour of Amman, you will join your tour guide and head north to the City of the Decapolis, Jerash. Located in the fertile heights of Gilead, Jerash is one of the best preserved Greco – Roman cities in the world. Stroll and embrace the stately Colonnaded Streets with a Roman Theater, Baths from the Romans and the hill-top Temples and the Triumphal Arch, all beautiful sites for a photo moment. Once you walk through history and complete your tour, you will be met by your local guide for a return to Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 3 Madaba, Mt. Nebo , Kerak
The morning starts with breakfast and then a drive to the Holy City of Madaba, known for its outstanding Byzantine mosaics. A visit St. George church and the 6th century mosaic floor depicting the earliest surviving map of the Holy Land starts your tour then a drive to Mt.Nebo, where Moses stood and saw the Promised land but did not enter and is believed to be buried. Visit the ancient church overlooking the Dead Sea Jordan. The church houses magnificent 6th century mosaics. After you tour of Mt. Nebo, you then will depart to the magnificent scenery of WadiMujib to the walled Crusader town of Kerak. Continue to Petra for an overnight stay.
Day 4 Petra
This morning we will tour the city of Petra. Petra is a full day to visit the Wonder of the World, Jordan's most valuable treasure and the greatest tourist attraction and listed on the top bucket list. Lost to the world for centuries in the mountains of southern Jordan, this rose – red city, half as old time, was discovered by the Swiss explorer Burkhardt in 1812. Once it was a stronghold and capital of the Nabateans, but fell to Rome in 106 AD. Travel part of the way on horseback and the rest on foot through the deep and narrow passages carved millions of years ago by erosion. The Treasury, the most beautiful building in Petra, will magnificently finally appears in front of you, an awesome start to an unforgettable experience. Now we begin our exploration of what both the Nabateans and Romans left for us to witness. The most adventurous will be invited to hike up to the spiritual “high Place” site of the sacrificial altar, with spectacular views of the ancient city and surrounding. Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Petra.
Day 5 Wadi Rum
After a restful evening and an early breakfast, you then will depart from Petra (Petra) and drive to Wadi Rum, take a short ride south to explore the mystical deserts of Jordan. In Wadi Rum, your adventure journey begins with a Bedouin 4x4 jeep ride into the Wadi Rum Desert. Wadi Rum is famous for numerous Hollywood movies natural back drops from. After a fun filled day, you will enjoy a traditional Bedouin night with Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 Bethany - DeadSea
After breakfast, depart to a visit to Baptism Site of Jesus Christ. A short drive as mentioned in the Bible, Bethany Beyond Jordan, the Jordan side is the Baptism Site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus plus the excavations of the site from which Elijah ascended to heaven in a chariot of fire.
