Guyana is the only English speaking country in South America with a distinct geographical landscape divided in to four parts the Coastal belt, Forested region, Savannahs lands and the Sandy Areas. From the diverse people and bout the diverse flora and fauna, Georgetown the capital of the country where in one place you will find six ethnic groups of people living together sharing their cultural heritage as true Guyanese, from the cuisine to spiritual beliefs and much more also the story of how it got its independents for the British. Indigenous people of Guyana, one of which I should mention that has become a row module for other communities to follow! Surama village the place you could come and see for yourself the lifestyle of the people there, also you could see an Authentic Amerindian Village Cultural events and celebrations performed by villagers in celebration of their heritage and Spiritual beliefs.
Not forgetting one of their young talented and self thought artistes Victor Captain better known as the Amazonian Artist for Surama village, which most if not all of his work reflects his unique culture and the close bond with nature that the village shares.
But before you leave the Rupununi there is one place you should stop in for a day or so Lethem town where you could go on the bridge that goes over the Takatu River and connects Guyana and Brazil the Takatu Bridge.
