Everest Base camp trek in Nepal
Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular trekking routes that offers you the opportunity to be at the foot of world’s highest mountain – Mount Everest as well as the breathtaking panoramas of Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek begins with about half an hour spectacular mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Then the journey begins on the foot trail following the majestic Dudh Koshi river and penetrating through the floral and fauna biodiversity of Sagarmath National Park. After a steep ascent through the forests of rhododendron and magnolia, villages and monasteries you will reach Namche Bazaar, capital of Sherpas. A day rest here aids acclimatization and you will get to enjoy the hospitality and culture of Sherpas. Then we follow the trail leading to famous Tengboche monastery located high on a ridge.
We then cross Dingboche with exciting suspension bridge, Lobuche, Gorakshep with each step nearing to Mt. Everest and finally reach the Everest Base Camp(5364m). Finally we proceed to KalaPatthar(5555m), a viewpoint recognized as the best vantage point to see Mt. Everest which is a premier goal for many adventurous walkers in the Himalayas. You will also be mesmerized by the refreshing spectacular view of numerous dangling mountainsand typical Sherpa land with typical houses and landscapes . Finally, its time to return leisurely back to Namche and Lukla for return flight. Scenery will start enchanting as soon as you begin from the Lukla and the breathtaking view from the Kala Pathhar has captivated everyone who has been there. It’s a journey of a lifetime. This trek can be done in any season but March to May and September to December is taken as a best season for this trekking.
