Discover and enjoy the authentic Puglia
Welcome in Apulia (or Puglia): the sunny and windy “heel of the Italian boot”.
We are the Eastern Italian region, right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea with culture and traditions that are a results of the several different dominations and cultural and economic influences.
First of all I’m a traveler (for leisure and work) and I like to know foreign countries and their culture, customs, food, etc.
I have been working in tourism for about 16 years (as freelance or with tour operators) in different sectors: tourist guide, tour leader and travel planner either for free individual travelers either for leisure groups either for incentive and congress travelers coming from USA, Canada, Australia, Asia and Europe and travelling or cruising in Italy and interested in art and history, archaeology, culture and traditions, wine and gastronomy, nature, photography, opera, religion and spirituality).
As you can see on my badge on the photos on my profile, I’m a LICENSED TOUR GUIDE, food and wine lover (1st level virgin olive oil taster, 1st level sommelier AIS) and tour leader. I work mainly with private tailor-made tours in the South part of Apulia Region (Castel del Monte and Trani; Bari and surroundings; Polignano a Mare and Mopopoli; Alberobello and Valle d’Itria; Brindisi and surroundings; Lecce and Salento; Taranto, Manduria and the west coast), Altamura and Matera.
I’m passionate about my region and I like to share our wonderful attractions and culture with other people.
Apulia is an “easy region”: the weather is quite warm all year long (the best time to come is from March to November but it’s worth to come also in winter time), people is friendly (… but only a few people speaks English or another foreign language), there are always lots of events and things to do and our Mediterranean diet is healthy and tasty for everybody (you will be spoilt for choice among meat, fish, pasta, rice, legumes, vegetables and fruit recipes).
Travelers who come for the first time in Apulia usually are fascinated by the Apulian day light and the colours of the seaside and the countryside.
If you’re looking for an hyper detailed and boring excursion I’m not the tourist guide for you but if you like a friendly and easy going person who will make his best, thanks to his experience and empathy, to understand and satisfy your needs, to suggest the right choices for your interests, to introduce in our culture and traditions, to help you in spending a very nice time … then contact me.
