Kröller-Müller Museum: art confronting nature
Descripción
The Kröller-Müller Museum is ideally located in the middle of a sizable nature reserve, to combine with the 19th and 20th century art works, including the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world (with over 60 paintings), a modern sculpture garden, ranging from Rodin to Henry Moore, and a sculpture park with more recent additions.
The hunting lodge is a must-see early modern total work of art by artists employed by the Kröller-Müller Family, like the architect Berlage, the painter Bart van der Leck, and the sculptor Joseph Mendes da Costa.
The nature reserve, with museum, sculpture park and garden, hunting lodge, and Boer war monuments, is an hour's drive from Amsterdam.
