Iddo Katz
Iddo Katz is an archaeologist and a tour guide, licensed by Israel’s Ministry of Tourism. He is a 7th generation born Israeli who graduated from Bar-Ilan University with degrees in land of Israel Studies, Geography and Biology. Mr. Katz has been a lecturer at the Schools of Tour Guides at Bar Ilan University and at the Ministry of Tourism. Speaking Hebrew, English and Chinese (Mandarin), he has also lectured widely throughout Israel, the United States and China.
Mr. Katz is a member of the Archaeological Sites Marketing Committee, a department of the National Parks Authority in Israel.
He has also been the area manager on archaeological excavation sites, including the famous sites at Shiloh and Kursi Beach.
Iddo Katz was sent to America from Israel with his wife and three children, to work for the Jewish agency. As the executive director of Aliyah Center in New York, he helped people realize their dreams of Aliyah.
Combining his wide knowledge of Israel’s history and archaeology with his computer skills, he is creating series of multimedia presentations of biblical archaeology. The presentation incorporates biblical texts with archaeology and geography of ancient and modern Israel.
With an experience of 40 years in guiding and teaching, Iddo Katz infuses his tourists and audience with love to Israel and its heritage.
