Alhambra and Generalife
Description
Come to discover a unique Arab medieval citadel, probably the best preserved in the world and one of the biggest tourist attraction in Spain.
The Alhambra and the Generalife was declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1984 for being the last Muslim Kingdom in Al-Andalus.
We visit three districts of the Alhambra: the Alcazaba or Citadel; the military zone, the Medina; the civil centre of the population in the service of the sultan. Inside the Medina, we will visit the Palace of Carlos V, symbol of the imperial power and of the economic and cultural brilliance of the 16th century and the Nasrid Palaces; the royal residence.
In addition, we visit the Generalife; the unique “almunya,” a country house that has survived in Andalusia. There we can enjoy the beauty of the environment with our five senses.
