Description
Departure to Durankulak – the settlement located in the most northeastern part of Bulgarian Coastline and the Durankulak lake – one of the most special and well-preserved ecosystems with rare animal and plant species with international importance. The lake is situated at the migration route Via Pontica and is separated from the sea by a narrow sand line and in its western part The Big Island is located where extremely rich archeological treasures are found from the Neolithic era including a one of the oldest golden treasures in the world about 6000 years BC.
Birdwatching and visit to the Big Island.
Departure to Shabla and the Lighthouse – the oldest and highest in Bulgaria – 32m. Several years ago the unique lighthouse celebrated it 150 birthday. Painted in red and white it show the way to the sailors in the Black sea for more than century. In Shabla is also the one and only officially registered fishermen village – Karia.
Visit to the National Archeological Reserve Yailata – a unique place combining rich archeological artefacts and picturesque nature. On its territory there are plenty of treasures from different historical ages. Here is located the “cave city” consisting of 101 dwellings about 5000 years BC, some even used as sanctuaries and tombs.
The Snail Farm (in the village of Balgarevo – 5 km from the Cape Kaliakra) – a small cozy restaurant with a flowerly garden where you can taste French specialties with snails from the farm where you can also get to know the special and unique technology of snail farming.
