Description
Departure and visit to the Historical Complex “Neolithic Village”where the chalcolithic and neolithic ages are represented – houses, pottery, tools, jewels etc. In the Thracian museum in the village are exposed copies of artefacts from the Neolithic Era till the end of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom – armory, models of ships and chariots, silicon figures of Thracians, copies of the golden treasures found in Bulgaria.
Pliska - walk through the ruins of the first Bulgarian capital, visit to the most remarkable monument – the Great basilica.Pliska was the main political, military, cultural and economic center of Bulgaria and one of the richest and most developed cities in Europe.
Visit to one more symbol of Bulgaria - the relief “The Madara Horseman”, the only one of its kind in Europe, the most important monument of the epoch of the early Middle Ages, also included in the World Cultural and Natural Heritage List of UNESCO.
Departute to Provadia and visit of the Ovech fortress – consecutively inhabited by Thracians, Romans, Byzantine, Bulgarians and Ottomans. Its strongest period is ХІІ–ХІV when it is military, religious, economic and administrative centre of the region. Visiting the fortress, “the speaking well”, deep 79m, the metropolitan church, the knight’s prison with Tower, the Devil’s path could be found and seen.
