Trekking in Baliem

“ 5 days/4 Nights treks in Baliem valley, Sept 2015”

Based on following itinerary.
Day 1, (L.D) Jayapura-Wamena-Hotel JAKARTA-JAYAPURA ARRIVAL
Flight to Wamena, proceed to any hotel overnight in Wamena (Free program & flexible).
** On arrival, proceed to Hotel-Shower, rest and lunch. Lunch is served in hotel. After finished lunch is a free program. We would happy to take you in Siep Kosay village or Napua, well known view of the Grand Valley Dani. Here you can enjoy Beautiful panoramic Dani tribe. Not only the scenery, but welcoming locals will welcome you. They are really friendly, smile and say ”Wah” Wah” sometimes, which means (welcome, or nice to meet you etc). Further, we can skip visiting Siep Kosi waterfall or Napua waterfall sometimes. Depends on time, and still flexible! _Back to hotel, Dinner in hotel, Rest, final packing for the next day, Sleep!
Day 2, (B.L.D) BALIEM VALLEY TOUR: Wamena Ugem-Syokosimo
After breakfast, you walk down to Ugem villages close to the place you overnight stay. Here you have a chance to meet the big chief, you also allowed to visit the secret hut, but you will never enter in, just stand outside and take a photo out of it. I don’t know why, but it is! You are going to pass the sweet potatoes gardens, fresh beans, Taroo, carrot plants and many more. We will hike for approximately 4-5 hours through the beautiful countryside and hearth break panoramic. Passing wild forest and scenery is spectacular. Prepared lunch in boxes will be served en-route to the village; then dinner and overnight at in the Syokosimo or known as “the logobal-Asso sub tribe).
Day 3, BALIEM VALLEY TOUR:
Syokosimo-Yuarima village. A bit long walk, 5 hours to hikes up to reach Hitugi but lovely bridges, and many villages & people. Enjoy the panoramic Baliem southern valley, etc. Still walk to Ugem village.
The most nice lovely scenery and beautiful village. Walk to this village, more stone age, welcoming people.
#Day 5 BALIEM VALLEY TOUR:
Hitugi-Wamena-Obia village (B.L.D)
From Hitugi, you take a walk 4 hours to Wamena. Lunch in Wamena, and continue the trip to Jiwika, Obia village (b.l.d). Allong the treks you are going to experience Dani life style, go to the gardens with dani ladies, cultivation sweet potatoes, how to make garden, cooking traditional way of cooking in the earth, on fire place, steaming cooking, etc,. At the afternoon, back to the hut (made for tourist. There is a spring running spring close to the huts, nice compounds, feel like dani tribal people, New guinea, eating with them, share cigarette, photo, lovely and nice people, not touristic. Day 6
Obia-Wamena-Jayapura. After the breakfast, you are heading to Wamena airport, Flight to Jayapura, same day to Bali or Jakarta. So, we choose Wings air flight at: 6:30 am.
