After Months of Anticipation, ANA Unveils its 'Star Wars'-Themed Airplane
ANA shared plans for its Star Wars-themed airplane back in April, much to the Internet's joy. Last Saturday, movie fans and quirky airplane aficionados alike were given the first look at the actual aircraft—complete with Star Wars theme music and Storm Troopers, of course. On October 18th, the droid airplane will be making its maiden journey from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to Vancouver.
This is only one of three airplanes planned to pull inspiration from George Lucas' hit: Two more decorated Dream liners are in the works. One feature a new character (BB-8) from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens film and the other will showcase both R2-D2 and BB-8.
