Polar Ural. Manaraga and Narodnaya mountains.
It is a journey to the most remote and most beautiful corner of the Urals to the queen of the mountains – Manaraga mt. Its peak is a crown of rock pillar towers.
We can climb to the top, walk to the waterfalls and have a look at the high-mountain lakes, and also go rafting along the Kos-Yu river with crystal clear water, fast rifts and beautiful coastal rocks.
Manaraga and its environs are included in the "Virgin Komi Forests" - the first Russian natural site included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This nomination had opened a new page in the field of environmental protection in Russia.
The territory consists of two protected areas, which together constitute the largest of the remaining primary forests in Europe, and which appearance is almost unchanged by human exposure.
Komi forests are a real taiga treasure. There are more than 40 species of mammals, 204 species of birds (including white-tailed eagle and osprey listed in the Red Data Book of Russia), 16 species of fish, the most valuable of which are glacial relics - chick pea and Siberian grayling.

The route's line: the airport - the Manaraga river valley - climbing to the top of Manaraga - rafting and fishing along the Manaraga river - the Kosyu river - Kosyu station.
Expedition plan by days:
1st day. 09.00 Departure to the mountains. Landing at the base camp site on the Manaraga River.
2nd day. The first part of the group - climbing the mountain Manaraga (overnight at the border of the forest -16 km). The second part of the group visits the waterfall at the Morenne stream (4 km).
3rd day. 1 group - Climb to the top of the mountain Manaraga and return to the camp (20 km). 2 group - Walk around the area to the lake (4 km). It is possible to climb for those who want to Bear's Paw mountain. Fishing, picking mushrooms and berries.
4th day. Rest day. Preparing a hiking steam bath. Picking mushrooms and berries.
5th day. Walking tour to the high mountain lake - 16 km.
6th day. The beginning of the rafting along the Kos-Yu River to the mouth of the river Kapkan-Vozh (20 km). Visiting the waterfall on the river Kapkan-Vozh
7th day. Rafting along the Kos-Yu river, reconnaissance and passing the rift in the canyon. (15km).
8th day. Rafting along the Kos-Yu river, reconnaissance and passing the rift of 2 difficulty category, passage of the mouth of Nidesey creek.
9th day. Rafting along the Kos-Yu river to the Mezentsev stream, watching of coastal rocks, passing of the river Indesey.
10th day. Rafting along the Kos-Yu River
11th day. Rafting along the Kos-Yu River
12th day. Rafting along the Kos-Yu River
13th day. Finishing the rafting at the Kosyu railway station. Departure.
